Chœur de Chambre de Namur

Seit seiner Gründung im Jahr 1987 setzt sich der Chœur de Chambre de Namur für die Pflege des musikalischen Erbes seiner Herkunftsregion ein und widmet sich dabei einem breiten Chorrepertoire, wobei die Auswahl vom Mittelalter bis zur zeitgenössischen Musik reicht. Künstlerischer Leiter ist seit 2010 der argentinische Dirigent Leonardo García Alarcón, mit dem der Chor bereits bei vielen Gelegenheiten in Europa und Südamerika auftrat. Das Ensemble hat zahlreiche Aufnahmen gemacht und tritt bei renommierten Festivals auf. Es arbeitet mit Dirigenten wie Peter Phillips, Richard Egarr, Christophe Rousset und Julien Chauvin zusammen und wird auch in den kommenden Saisons mit Ensembles wie Les Talens Lyriques, Reinoud Van Mechelen und A Nocte Temporis sowie Alexis Kossenko und Les Ambassadeurs kooperieren. Zu den Highlights der vergangenen Saison zählen Georg Friedrich Händels »Saul« in Namur und Beaune, »La Vie Parisienne« von Jacques Offenbach im Théâtre des Champs-Élysées und Jean-Philippe Rameaus »Indes galantes« an der Opéra national de Paris.

Der Chœur de Chambre de Namur wird unterstützt von der Musik- und Tanzabteilung der Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles, der französischen Nationallotterie, der Stadt Namur sowie von Wallonie Bruxelles International.

Since its foundation in 1987, the Chœur de Chambre de Namur has been committed to cultivating the musical heritage of its region of origin, and is dedicated to the great works of the choral repertoire, ranging from the Middle Ages to contemporary music. The artistic director since 2010 has been the Argentinian conductor Leonardo García Alarcón, with whom the choir has performed on many occasions in Europe and South America. The ensemble has made numerous recordings and performs at many prestigious festivals. It works with conductors such as Peter Phillips, Richard Egarr, Christophe Rousset and Julien Chauvin and will continue to collaborate with ensembles such as Les Talens Lyriques, Reinoud Van Mechelen and A Nocte Temporis as well as Alexis Kossenko and Les Ambassadeurs in the coming seasons. The Chœur de Chambre de Namur is supported by the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles (service de la musique et de la danse), the Loterie Nationale as well as the City of Namur. It also receives support from Wallonie Bruxelles International.
