Eva Georgitsopoulou

Eva Georgitsopoulou wurde in Patras, Griechenland, geboren. Im Jahr 2013 machte sie ihren Abschluss an der Staatlichen Tanzschule in Athen und setzte ihr Studium in Israel fort. Von 2016 bis 2021 arbeitete sie als Performerin mit der Aerites Dance Company zusammen. Seit 2019 tanzt Eva Georgitsopoulou regelmäßig in Stücken der Compagnie Sasha Waltz & Guests. Ihre eigenen choreographischen Produktionen werden seit 2015 international aufgeführt. Mit ihrem Solostück »miTerra« besuchte sie Bühnen in Berlin, Kalamata, Chania und Pliberk. 2021 choreographierte sie das Stück »W(h)oman« für das Ballett der Griechischen Nationaloper sowie die Arbeit »Groove« beim Athens Epidaurus Festival. 2022 wurde ihre Produktion »A signal that travels down through your heart (episode #1)« beim Arc for Dance Festival 2022 uraufgeführt.

Eva Georgitsopoulou was born in Patras, Greece. In 2013, she graduated from the State School of Dance in Athens and continued her studies in Israel. From 2016 to 2021 she worked as a performer with the Aerites Dance Company. Since 2019, Eva Georgitsopoulou has been dancing regularly in pieces by the company Sasha Waltz & Guests. Her own choreographic productions have been staged internationally since 2015. Her solo piece »miTerra« was performed in Berlin, Kalamata, Chania and Pliberk. In 2021 she choreographed the piece »W(h)oman« for the Greek National Opera Ballet. Her work »Groove« was presented at the Athens Epidaurus Festival 2021. In 2022, her production »A signal that travels down through your heart (episode #1)« premiered at the Arc for Dance Festival 2022.
