Fleur Barron

Die singapurisch-britische Mezzosopranistin Fleur Barron studierte an der Columbia University sowie an der Manhattan School of Music. Als vielseitige Interpretin reicht ihr Repertoire vom Barock bis zur zeitgenössischen Musik.

2025 wurde sie mit einem Grammy Award für die beste Opernaufnahme für ihre Darstellung der Titelrolle in Kaija Saariahos »Adriana Mater« mit dem San Francisco Symphony Orchestra unter der Leitung von Esa-Pekka Salonen ausgezeichnet. Zu ihren jüngsten Höhepunkten zählen Debüts bei den Salzburger Festspielen in »One Morning Turns into an Eternity« sowie am Teatro dell’Opera di Roma als Adriana Mater. Erstmals gastierte sie zudem beim Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks und beim Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, außerdem gibt Barron 2026 ihr Debüt mit dem New York Philharmonic Orchestra. Als gefragte Mahler-Interpretin sang sie zuletzt »Das Lied von der Erde«, die »Kindertotenlieder« und die dritte Symphonie.

Bei den Osterfestspielen Salzburg 2026 gibt sie ihr Debüt mit den Berliner Philharmonikern unter Kirill Petrenko in Mahlers achter Symphonie.

She also made her first appearances with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and makes her debut with the New York Philharmonic in 2026. A sought-after Mahler interpreter, she has recently performed »Das Lied von der Erde«, »Kindertotenlieder« and the Third Symphony.

At the 2026 Salzburg Easter Festival, she makes her debut with the Berliner Philharmoniker under Kirill Petrenko in Mahler’s Eighth Symphony.
