Jacquelyn Wagner

Die Sopranistin Jacquelyn Wagner zählt zu den international gefragtesten Interpretinnen ihres Fachs und gastiert regelmäßig an renommierten Opernhäusern wie der Bayerischen Staatsoper, der Mailänder Scala, der Opéra national de Paris und dem Opernhaus Zürich. Sie studierte an der Oakland University Michigan sowie an der Manhattan School of Music und ist Preisträgerin zahlreicher internationaler Wettbewerbe, darunter der Francisco-Viñas-, Renata-Tebaldi- und den Panasonic-Voice-Wettbewerb.

Im Konzertbereich arbeitete sie mit führenden Orchestern wie dem Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, dem Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich, dem NHK Symphony Orchestra Tokyo, dem Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester, dem Tokyo Symphony Orchestra und dem Radio Symphonieorchester Madrid zusammen. Ihr breit gefächertes Repertoire umfasst Mahlers Symphonie Nr. 8, Strauss’ »Vier letzte Lieder«, Haydns »Schöpfung«, Brittens »War Requiem« und Beethovens Symphonie Nr. 9.

Bei den Osterfestspielen Salzburg gab Jacquelyn Wagner 2019 ihr Debüt als Eva in »Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg« und kehrt 2026 für ein Konzert mit den Berliner Philharmonikern unter der Leitung von Kirill Petrenko zum Festival zurück.

Soprano Jacquelyn Wagner is one of the most sought-after interpreters of her genre on the international stage and regularly performs at prestigious opera houses such as the Bayerische Staatsoper, La Scala in Milan, the Opéra national de Paris and the Zurich Opera House. She studied at Oakland University Michigan as well as at the Manhattan School of Music and is a prizewinner of numerous international competitions, including the Francisco Viñas, Renata Tebaldi and Panasonic Voice competitions.

In the concert field, she has collaborated with leading orchestras such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, the NHK Symphony Orchestra Tokyo, the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra, the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra and the Radio Symphony Orchestra Madrid. Her wide-ranging repertoire includes Mahler’s Symphony No. 8, Strauss’s »Four Last Songs«, Haydn’s »Creation«, Britten’s »War Requiem« and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9.

Jacquelyn Wagner made her debut at the Salzburg Easter Festival in 2019 as Eva in »Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg« and returns to the Festival in 2026 for a concert with the Berliner Philharmoniker under the baton of Kirill Petrenko.
