Leah Hausman

Leah Hausman arbeitet international in den Bereichen Oper und Theater als Bewegungsregisseurin, Choreographin und stellvertretende Regisseurin. Sie absolvierte ihre Tanz- und Schauspielausbildung in New York City und an der École Jacques Lecoq in Paris. Hausman arbeitete intensiv mit Regisseuren wie Simon McBurney, Terry Gilliam, Sir David McVicar, Moshe Leiser und Patrice Caurier zusammen.

Große Produktionen waren am Royal Opera House zu erleben, an der Metropolitan Opera, in Glyndebourne, an der Scala, am Chicago Lyric und am Théâtre des Champs-Élysées. Zu den jüngsten Produktionen gehören »Wozzeck« für das Festival d‘Aix-en-Provence, »Pelléas et Mélisande« für die LA Opera, »Don Carlos« für die Met Opera, »A Midsummer Night’s Dream« für La Monnaie in Brüssel sowie das New National Theatre in Tokyo. Weitere Höhepunkte umfassen »Benvenuto Cellini« und »La damnation de Faust« für die Opéra nationale de Paris, die English National Opera, die Niederländische Nationaloper, das Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona und die Oper Rom. Für das Royal Opera House Covent Garden »Le nozze di Figaro«, »Die Zauberflöte«, »Les Troyens«, »Aida« und »Il turco in Italia«.

Vitalij Kowaljow erhielt seine musikalische Ausbildung in Bern und Biel. In den vergangenen Jahren hat er sich mit seinen gefühlvollen Interpretationen und seinem resonanten Timbre als einer der führenden Bässe im internationalen Opernbetrieb etabliert. In seiner mehr als zwei Jahrzehnte währenden Karriere hat Vitalij Kowaljow fast 50 komplexe Opernrollen auf den renommiertesten Bühnen weltweit gesungen.

Als Spezialist für Verdi-Bass-Partien wurde er als Zaccaria in »Nabucco« an der Deutschen Oper Berlin, in der Arena di Verona und am Teatro alla Scala hoch gelobt. Zu den jüngsten Höhepunkten zählen Partien wie Pimen in »Boris Godunow« an der Hamburgischen Staatsoper, Zaccaria in »Nabucco« an der Bayerischen Staatsoper, Banco in »Macbeth« am Opernhaus Zürich, Alvise in »La Gioconda« am Sydney Opera House und Timur in »Turandot« an der Met.

Bei den Osterfestspielen in Salzburg war Kowaljow bereits 2017 als Wotan in »Die Walküre« und 2019 als Veit Pogner in »Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg« zu sehen.

Vitalij Kowaljow received his musical training in Bern and Biel.
