Lucy Burge

Lucy Burge wurde in London geboren. Von 1970 bis 1985 war sie Solotänzerin bei der Rambert Dance Company. Während dieser Zeit trat sie als Gast bei Rudolf Nurejew auf und gestaltete Rollen für Choreographen wie Antony Tudor, Norman Morrice und Glen Tetley. Des Weiteren choreographierte und arrangierte sie Tänze für Christine Edzards Spielfilm »Der Nussknacker«, die Wiederaufnahme von »Pierrot lunaire« für das Niederländische Nationalballett, »The Tempest« für das Norwegische Nationalballett und Tudors »Judgement of Paris« für die Rambert Dance Company. Weitere choreographische Arbeiten von ihr umfassen »Madama Butterfly« bei den Bregenzer Festspielen, »Hänsel und Gretel« am Royal Opera House, »Parsifal« an der Opéra national de Paris, »Ariodante« an der Lyric Opera Chicago und im Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía in Valencia, »Lohengrin« an der Bayerischen Staatsoper und »A Midsummer Night’s Dream« im Hyogo Arts Centre in Japan.

Lucy Burge was born in London. She was a principal dancer with Ballet Rambert from 1970 to 1985. During this time Lucy performed as a guest artist with Rudolf Nureyev and created major roles for choreographers including Anthony Tudor, Norman Morrice and Glen Tetley. She has also choreographed and arranged dances for Christine Edzard's feature film »The Nutcracker«, revived »Pierrot lunaire« for Dutch National Ballet, »The Tempest« for Norwegian National Ballet and Tudor's »Judgement of Paris« for Rambert Dance Company. Work includes: »Madama Butterfly« at the Bregenz Festival, »Hansel and Gretel« at the Royal Opera House, »Parsifal« at Opéra national de Paris, »Ariodante« at Lyric Opera Chicago and Palau de les Arts in Valencia, »Lohengrin« at the Bayerische Staatsoper and »A Midsummer Night’s Dream« at Hyogo Arts Centre, Japan.
