Slowakischer Philharmonischer Chor

Der Slowakische Philharmonische Chor ist ein bedeutender Vertreter der slowakischen Kunst des professionellen Chorgesangs. Er trat 1946 als Gemischter Chor des tschechoslowakischen Rundfunks in die Musikszene ein. Die Rolle des Chorleiters haben bereits wichtige Persönlichkeiten übernommen wie Jan Maria Dobrodinský, Štefan Klimo, Pavol Procházka, Marián Vach, Jan Rozehnal, Blanka Juhaňáková und Jozef Chabroň. Seit der Saison 2023/24 wird der Chor wieder von Jan Rozehnal geleitet.

2023 erhielt der Slowakische Philharmonische Chor einen Award des deutschen Magazins »Oper!« in der Kategorie »Bester Chor« für die Opernproduktion »Pique Dame« mit den Berliner Philharmonikern unter Kirill Petrenko bei den Osterfestspielen in Baden-Baden und für Konzerte in der Berliner Philharmonie im Jahr 2022.

Der Slowakische Philharmonische Chor hat bereits mit Dirigenten wie Claudio Abbado, Serge Baudo, Semyon Bychkov, James Conlon, Christoph von Dohnányi, Vladimir Fedoseyev, János Ferencsik, Daniele Gatti, Pedro Halffter, Riccardo Chailly, Dmitri Kitajenko, Lorin Maazel, Zubin Mehta, Franz Welser-Möst, Antonio Pedrotti, Esa-Pekka Salonen und Ralf Weikert zusammengearbeitet.

The Slovak Philharmonic Choir is a prominent representative of the Slovak art of professional choral singing. It entered the music scene in 1946 as the Mixed Choir of the Czechoslovak Radio. Important personalities such as Jan Maria Dobrodinský, Štefan Klimo, Pavol Procházka, Marián Vach, Jan Rozehnal, Blanka Juhaňáková and Jozef Chabroň have already taken on the role of choirmaster. Since the 2023/24 season, the chorus is once again conducted by Jan Rozehnal.

In 2023, the Slovak Philharmonic Choir received an award from the German magazine »Oper!« in the category »Best Chorus« for the opera production »Pique Dame« with the Berliner Philharmoniker under Kirill Petrenko at the Easter Festival in Baden-Baden and for concerts at the Berlin Philharmonie in 2022.
