Julie Roset

Julie Roset begann ihr Gesangsstudium bereits in jungen Jahren am Conservatoire du Grand Avignon und schloss es an der Haute École de musique de Genève mit Auszeichnung ab. 2022 erhielt sie ihr Künstlerdiplom in Opernstudien an der Juilliard School und gewann im selben Jahr den Laffont-Wettbewerb der Metropolitan Opera, 2023 folgte dann der erste Preis beim weltweiten Opernwettbewerb Operalia.

Julie Roset konnte sich bereits einen Namen in der Opernlandschaft machen. Ihr Auftritt als Zémire in »Zémire et Azor« an der Opéra Comique im Jahr 2023 wurde einhellig gelobt und zu ihren jüngsten Opernerfolgen zählen Euridice und La Musica in Sasha Waltz & Guests’ gefeierter Inszenierung von »L’Orfeo« am Teatro Real Madrid sowie die Rollen des Valletto und des Amore in »L’incoronazione di Poppea« beim Festival d’Aix-en-Provence. In der Saison 2024/25 hatte Roset Debütauftritte mit dem Royal Scottish National Orchestra und dem Orchestre de Paris in Aufführungen von Mahlers Symphonie Nr. 2, außerdem gab sie ihr Debüt in Kopenhagen mit dem Danish National Symphony Orchestra als Belinda in »Dido and Aeneas«.

2025 gibt Julie Roset ihr Debüt bei den Osterfestspielen Salzburg.

Julie Roset began her vocal studies at a young age at the Conservatoire du Grand Avignon and graduated with honours from the Haute École de musique de Genève. In 2022, she received her Artist Diploma in Opera Studies from the Juilliard School and won the Metropolitan Opera’s Laffont Competition in the same year, followed by first prize at the worldwide opera competition Operalia in 2023.

Julie Roset has already made a name for herself in the opera world. Her performance as Zémire in »Zémire et Azor« at the Opéra Comique in 2023 was unanimously praised and her most recent operatic successes include Euridice and La Musica in Sasha Waltz & Guests’ acclaimed production of »L’Orfeo« at the Teatro Real Madrid and the roles of Valletto and Amore in »L’incoronazione di Poppea« at the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence. In the 2024/25 season, Roset had debut appearances with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and the Orchestre de Paris in performances of Mahler’s Symphony No. 2. She also made her debut in Copenhagen with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra as Belinda in »Dido and Aeneas«.

Julie Roset will make her debut at the Salzburg Easter Festival 2025.
