Luciano Ganci

Luciano Ganci machte seine ersten musikalischen Erfahrungen im Chor der »Cappella Musicale Pontificia Sistina« und studierte ab 2006 lyrischen Gesang in Rom. Im Jahr 2009 gab er sein Debüt in Mozarts »Le nozze di Figaro« und Puccinis »Gianni Schicchi«, 2012 folgte sein internationales Debüt mit »La traviata« in Salzburg. Weitere Engagements führten ihn als Loris Ipanov in Umberto Giordanos »Fedora« ans Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, in der Titelrolle des »Andrea Chénier« ans Teatro Comunale di Bologna, als Zamoro in »Alzira« an die Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège oder als Cavaradossi an die Wiener Staatsoper sowie ans Teatro dell’Opera di Roma. Höhepunkte der vergangenen Saison waren »Pagliacci« und »Madama Butterfly« am Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, die Uraufführung von »Dalinda« im Konzerthaus Berlin, das Verdi-Requiem anlässlich des 150. Todestags von Alessandro Manzoni im Mailänder Dom, »Aida« in der Arena di Verona, »Simon Boccanegra« am New National Theatre in Tokio und »Un ballo in maschera« am Teatro Filarmonico in Verona. Bei den Osterfestspielen Salzburg feiert Ganci in dieser Saison sein Debüt mit dem Verdi-Requiem.

Luciano Ganci gained his first musical experience in the choir of the »Cappella Musicale Pontificia Sistina« and from 2006 he studied lyrical singing in Rome. In 2009, he made his debut in Mozart's »Le nozze di Figaro« and Puccini's »Gianni Schicchi«, followed by his international debut in 2012 with »La traviata« in Salzburg. Further engagements took him to the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam as Loris Ipanov in Umberto Giordano's »Fedora«, to the Teatro Comunale di Bologna in the title role of »Andrea Chénier«, to the Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège as Zamoro in »Alzira« and to the Vienna State Opera and the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma as Cavaradossi. Highlights of the past season included »Pagliacci« and »Madama Butterfly« at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, the world premiere of »Dalinda« at the Konzerthaus Berlin, the Verdi Requiem to mark the 150th anniversary of Alessandro Manzoni's death in Milan Cathedral, »Aida« at the Arena di Verona, »Simon Boccanegra« at the New National Theatre in Tokyo and »Un ballo in maschera« at the Teatro Filarmonico in Verona. Ganci makes his debut at the Salzburg Easter Festival this season with the Verdi Requiem.
