Guided tour of the Salzburg Marionette Theatre

The Salzburg Marionette Theatre is a cultural institution since 111 years and opens its doors exclusive for you! After a guided tour through this marvellous world, the artists of the theatre will present their skills in a short marionette play demonstration. Places are limited, so please register in good time.

Exclusive Guided Tour and Marionette Play Demonstration

From the very beginning, the focus of this unique theatre has been on the classical opera repertoire and the aspiration to create and perform the characters as humanely as possible. The theatre was recognised by UNESCO as an intangible world cultural heritage site in 2016 for this style of performance.

After the tour of the entire theatre and the backstage area, the puppeteers give a short demonstration of their art.
