»Paradise Lost« - the Tapestries of Salzburg Cathedral

Discover the new special exhibition »Paradise Lost« in an exclusive guided tour for Patrons of the Easter Festival: the six magnificent paintings made of wool and silk, which were created in the Brussels workshop of Jan Aerts (active 1614 - 1635) based on older designs by the painter Michiel Coxcie (1499 - 1592), tell the story of Adam and Eve and their sons Cain and Abel. The exhibition in the North Oratory offers a unique opportunity to view the large-format, detailed tapestries up close.
