Luca Salsi

Luca Salsi wurde im norditalienischen San Secondo Parmense geboren. Er absolvierte sein Gesangsstudium am Konservatorium Arrigo Boito in Parma. Zu seinem Repertoire gehören Rollen wie: Scarpia in »Tosca« an der Opéra de Paris, als Nabucco und Gérard in »Andrea Chénier« an der Wiener Staatsoper, Simon Boccanegra bei den Salzburger Festspielen und Germont in »La traviata« an der Metropolitan Opera. Im Februar 2020 gab er sein Debüt als Alfio in »Cavalleria rusticana« beim Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Zu weiteren Engagements zählen »Aida« an der Metropolitan Opera und an der Wiener Staatsoper sowie eine Neuproduktion von »Macbeth« am Liceu in Barcelona und am Teatro San Carlo di Napoli. Kürzlich debütierte er an der Opera di Roma mit »Il tabarro«, sang ein Solo-Recital und »Macbeth« am Teatro alla Scala sowie »Otello« am Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. Dieses Jahr feiert Luca Salsi sein Debüt bei den Osterfestspielen Salzburg.

Luca Salsi was born in San Secondo Parmense. He graduated in singing from the »Arrigo Boito« Conservatory in Parma. His repertoire includes roles such as: Scarpia in »Tosca« at the Opéra de Paris, as Nabucco and Gérard in »Andrea Chénier« at the Wiener Staatsoper, Simon Boccanegra at the Salzburg Festival and Germont in »La traviata« at the New York Metropolitan Opera House. In February 2020 he made his debut as Alfio in »Cavalleria rusticana« with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Further engagements include: »Aida« at the Metropolitan in New York and at the Wiener Staatsoper and then he sings the new production of »Macbeth« at the Liceu in Barcelona and in concert at the Teatro San Carlo di Napoli. He recently made his debut in »Il tabarro« at the Opera di Roma, sang a solo recital and »Macbeth« at the Teatro alla Scala and »Otello« at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. This year Luca Salsi celebrates his debut at the Easter Festival.
