Hearing the Berliner Philharmoniker in intimate venues is a very special experience. That is why the programme for the 2027 Salzburg Easter Festival features a total of seven concerts performed by smaller ensembles – some of them in new venues such as the Orchesterhaus. Thematically, the focus is entirely on Ludwig van Beethoven, the centenary of whose death falls in 2027. The music of this great revolutionary enters into dialogue with composers such as Robert Schumann, Paul Hindemith, Giacomo Puccini or the lesser-known contemporary Franz Krommer.
