Recycle Group

Recycle Group wurde 2008 von Andrey Blokhin und Georgy Kuznetsov gegründet. Seitdem erforschen sie die Schnittstellen zwischen den materiellen, spirituellen und virtuellen Dimensionen des modernen Lebens.

Die Arbeiten der Künstler befassen sich mit Themen wie dem Streben nach ewigem Leben in sozialen Netzwerken, der Transformation traditioneller spiritueller Symbole in digitale Spiegelbilder oder der Erweiterung physischer Werke in die Welt der Augmented Reality. Recycle Group sucht stets nach einem Gleichgewicht zwischen Konzept und Technik, experimentiert mit recycelten Materialien und erkundet die Möglichkeiten der virtuellen Realität.

Das Künstlerduo lebt und arbeitet in Paris und stellt seit 2010 international aus – in Galerien, Museen und zeitgenössischen Kunsträumen auf der ganzen Welt.

Die beiden nahmen an den Programmen der Biennale von Venedig in den Jahren 2011, 2013, 2015 und 2017 teil. Großformatige Installationen der Gruppe waren unter anderem an den Fassaden des Grand Palais in Paris und der London School of Economics zu sehen. Werke von Recycle Group befinden sich in öffentlichen Sammlungen, darunter die LVMH Collection, die Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, New York und das National Museum of Scotland.

Recycle Group was founded by Andrey Blokhin and Georgy Kuznetsov in 2008. Since then, they have been exploring the intersections of material, spiritual and virtual dimensions of modern life.

The artists delve into themes such as eternal life through social networks, transforming traditional spiritual symbols into digital reflections, or extending their physical works into augmented reality. Recycle Group seeks a balance between concept and technique, experimenting with recycled materials and exploring the possibilities of virtual reality.

Living and working in Paris, the duo has exhibited internationally since 2010, with showcases in galleries, museums and contemporary art spaces around the world.

They participated in the Venice Biennale’s programmes in 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2017. Their large-scale installations were installed on the facades of the Grand Palais in Paris and London School of Economics. Works by Recycle Group are included in public collections such as the LVMH Collection, the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, New York and the National Museum of Scotland.
