Tugan Sokhiev

Der international renommierte Dirigent Tugan Sokhiev widmet sich gleichermaßen dem symphonischen wie auch dem lyrischen Repertoire und gastiert bei den bekanntesten Orchestern der Welt. Regelmäßig dirigiert er die Wiener, die Berliner sowie die Münchner Philharmoniker, die Staatskapelle Dresden, das Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, das Gewandhausorchester, das Philharmonia Orchestra sowie das Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia. Darüber hinaus ist er bei den bedeutendsten US-amerikanischen Orchestern zu Gast, darunter das New York Philharmonic, das Philadelphia Orchestra und das Boston sowie das Chicago Symphony Orchestra, und verbringt mehrere Wochen jeder Saison mit dem NHK Symphony Orchestra.

Zu seinen jüngsten Projekten zählen eine Asientournee mit den Wiener Philharmonikern, Europatourneen mit den Münchner Philharmonikern sowie das äußerst populäre Silvesterkonzert der Staatskapelle Dresden. Von 2008 bis 2022 war er Musikdirektor des Orchestre national du Capitole de Toulouse.

Tugan Sokhiev dirigiert die Orchesterkonzerte sowie das BE PHIL-Sonderkonzert bei den Osterfestspielen 2026.

Internationally renowned conductor Tugan Sokhiev divides his time between the symphonic and lyric repertoire, working as a guest conductor with the most prestigious orchestras around the world. He regularly conducts the Vienna, the Berlin as well as the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, the Dresden Staatskapelle, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Gewandhausorchester, Philharmonia Orchestra and Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia. He is invited to the finest U.S. orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra and the Boston as well as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and spends several weeks each season with the NHK Symphony Orchestra.

His recent projects include a tour of Asia with the Vienna Philharmonic, European tours with the Munich Philharmonic and the highly popular New Year’s Eve Concert of the Staatskapelle Dresden. From 2008 to 2022 he was Music Director of the Orchestre national du Capitole de Toulouse.

Tugan Sokhiev conducts the Orchestral Concerts as well as the BE PHIL Special Concert at the 2026 Easter Festival.
