Yuya Fujinami

Yuya Fujinami begann seine Tanz- und Gymnastikausbildung in Saitama, Japan, und schloss sein Studium an der Hamburger Ballettschule von John Neumeier ab. Nach seinem Abschluss tanzte er am Theater Chemnitz, dem Tiroler Landestheater Innsbruck und dem Staatstheater Braunschweig. Er arbeitete mit internationalen Choreographinnen und Choreographen wie Jan Pusch, Roy Assaf, Stephan Thoss, Katrin Hall, Yuki Mori und Annabelle Bonney zusammen. Seit 2017 kollaboriert er mit Constanza Macras und DorkyPark und tanzt seit 2020 bei Sasha Waltz & Guests. Daneben realisiert er auch eigene Choreographien. Beim 9. Internationalen SoloDuo Festival in Köln erhielt er den »Publikumspreis Duo« für »memini«, seine erste Zusammenarbeit mit Emmanouela Dolianiti.

After graduation he was engaged with the Theater Chemnitz, the Tiroler Landestheater Innsbruck and the Staatstheater Braunschweig and he had the opportunity to work with international choreographers such as Jan Pusch, Roy Assaf, Stephan Thoss, Katrin Hall, Yuki Mori and Annabelle Bonney, among others. Since 2017, he has been collaborating with Constanza Macras and DorkyPark and joined Sasha Waltz & Guests in 2020. Periodically he is also realizing his own choreographies. For his first collaboration with Emmanouela Dolianiti »memini« they received the audience award of Best Duo 2017 at the 9th »Internationales SoloDuo Festival« in Cologne.
