Programme Change for the 2027 Orchestral Concert

Acclaimed violinist Lisa Bathiashvili will take over the solo part from Martha Argerich in the second performance of our Orchestra Concert, conducted by Lahav Shani, and will perform Jean Sibelius’s Violin Concerto, Op. 47.

German violinist Lisa Batiashvili, who is of Georgian descent, is acclaimed by audiences for her virtuosity. The multi-award-winning musician has close and enduring relationships with some of the world’s finest orchestras—including, of course, the Berliner Philharmoniker.

This season, she has been on tour with the Munich Philharmonic and Lahav Shani, continued her successful collaboration with Yannick Nézet-Séguin in Montreal and Philadelphia, and began a tour with the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra under Klaus Mäkelä earlier this year.
