President presents award to the President

"His international network in Europe and overseas made it possible to bring a large circle of individuals as well as an international audience from the UK, Italy, and France to Salzburg," said Provincial Parliament President Brigitta Pallauf during the presentation. The association, founded in 1967, is the main supporter of the Salzburg Easter Festival.

Born in Salzburg, Michael Berger-Sandhofer grew up surrounded by classical music and developed a deep passion, particularly for opera and symphonic works. He is able to apply his special understanding of art in his professional activities. Since 2011, he has served as President of the Association of Patrons and manages it from London, where he is Deputy Chairman at Sotheby’s, maintaining Sotheby’s relationships with top clients worldwide.
