The Berliner Philharmoniker’s wind quintet tells musical stories of animals and people: In his »Opus Number Zoo«, Luciano Berio has animals narrate fairy-tale fables; Giuseppe Cambini’s »Quintetto« contains echoes of opera; Pavel Haas describes his work as a composition in which movement reigns supreme; and Leoš Janáček recalls his own youth.
